Hat Creek
On the way back to Laramie from Newcastle, I finally stopped to take a picture of the Hat Creek Station. I've been meaning to stop the past few times I've been up but had managed to be in too much of a hurry or to have forgotten my camera or whatever. This time, no excuses:
I love this place and entertain dreams, every so often, of rescuing it from a slow death and turning it into a roadside cafe. I don't know why I like this place so much, but I do.

It is hard to find beautiful buildings in WY sometimes; Indiana does have a lot of neat old places. There's a town called Greensburg that has a tree growing out of the domed roof of the county courthouse. I've never heard anyone talk about the Wabash River as beautiful before; every time I saw it, it was a brown, dull, waterway that just interfered with an easy trip into Purdue. When I came to Wyoming, the first thing I noticed was that water moves here. Lots of things to like about both places, I guess.
In the meantime, I'm happy to be #1 on the search results :)
